This is a 3 digit number found at the bottom of your cheque and identifies the financial institution where your account is held.

This is a 5-digit number found at the bottom of your cheque and identifies the branch where your account is held. Also referred to as Transit number.

This number is found at the bottom of your cheques, to the right of the institution number.

This is a 5 digit number fround to the right of the branch address and identifies the branch where your account is held. This number may be different from the branch number at the bottom of your cheque.

Basic Cheque Customization Features

If you require multiple copies of your cheque, select 2 / duplicates or more parts.

Each cheque in an order is sequentially numbered. The default starting number for an order is 1 (for a new order). Alternatively, you may select any starting number between 1 and 999 (for personal cheques) or 1 and 999999 (for business manual and computer cheques). Note that sequential numbering is mandatory in the MICR line of the cheque.

For U.S. dollar accounts - The words U.S. FUNDS will be included on your cheques along with a transaction code 45 (which appears in the MICR line). Transaction code 45 is a mandatory requirement from Payments Canada for cheques written on a U.S. dollar account.
